There is more to getting what you want than just knowing about the Law of Attraction. Ever since "The Secret" came out the world has changed - the movie awakened the eyes and heart of people around the globe. What a terrific benefit.
As would be expected however, the naysayers came out of the woodwork like sugar ants from the baseboard. They were basically of three types.
1) Many of them never even saw the movie. They just heard people talk about it and put it down (as people tend to do about things that are successful but weren't their idea).
2) Some, though, did see the movie. They put the idea down because they couldn't wrap their minds around the concepts. That's ok because hopefully they will eventually see enough, read enough, hear enough that they will realize that there are laws of the Universe that are followed no matter what you believe. It just takes time sometimes.
3) Then there were those that jumped on the bandwagon and started visualizing and making treasure maps (vision boards) and "worked the program" so to speak. But...nothing happened. They picked up and tried again....nothing happened. After one, two or maybe even three attempts to manifesting "the good life" without success, they gave up. Then they became naysayers. "It doesn't work. I did EVERYTHING the movie told me to - it's just hype". Have you heard people say or write that?
I feel the worst for the third group because they really believe that the Law of Attraction works (and it does) and wanted to turn their lives around. But what they didn't realize is that there is much more to you and your life than just the Law of Attraction. There are many Universal Laws and they all work in a beautiful harmony. But if you don't know what they are and don't have them all in sync, then just trying the Law of Attraction won't work.
There are tons of web sites now about the Law of Attraction and I think that's a great thing. But what many of those are lacking is the explanation and consideration of the other aspects of your being that have to be brought into harmony in order for the Law of Attraction to work.
If you search for New Thought or Metaphysics you should find sites that cover all aspects of these Universal Laws. You can also read "Working With The Law" by Raymond Holliwell or "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles and get a wonderful lesson on these laws. I love that book and it's ragged from all my readings of it.
