Window Tinting Laws Holding You Back?

Driving laws are broken everyday by people all over the world. No, this is not an article to give you rights to break the law, when dealing with window tint. It's simply hosting the idea of persuading you to not let certain percentage laws hold you back when deciding to tint your windows.

Law enforcements crack down on window tint laws differently in different areas of location. For instance, in certain states they hold strict laws that forbid certain films from being installed on vehicles but are looked past for the most part. Maybe the law is old, or maybe the law just lacks importance. It is entirely up the law of the state and the law enforcement.

The reason for bringing this idea to the surface, being people let certain laws deter them from getting their windows tinted. Tinting enthusiasts like myself try to deter people from being so afraid in cases like these. Yes, the law may state a certain percentage ratio, but once taking a look at certain ideas around this we believe you might feel certain aspects can be stretched.

Our first case in defense to these laws is held in car dealerships. Car dealerships are now breaking these state tint laws by putting certain illegal tint films on their vehicles as the car is sold brand new. Why would someone in the legal nature want to purchase a car that already has illegal percentage tint on the windows? Does this make it alright for us to have that same tint on any vehicles, if the car dealerships are putting it on? You need to make the deciding case on this one.

Second case in our defense, being that the law enforcement has illegal percentages on their state patrol cars. A good friend of mine that does the professional tinting for our squad patrol cars in the area fights them with this a lot. His defense being, "If you can have illegal tint, then why can't I? That, and the fact they are the ones fighting this law." He sees this as a hypocritical matter in our society of laws. Others do fight him in defense, that the tint on patrol cars is for the privacy of whoever is in that vehicle. You be the judge.

Our third case in defense is the strictness of some of the percentage laws. We feel some state laws do justice while other state tint laws are just absolutely too strict. For instance, in some states we know that the legal percentage limit is 50%. If you were to glance at a car that is tinted at that percentage and then glance at a car that is not tinted at all, the difference is close to nothing. Thus being, that tint law is too strict in our minds.

Summarized, there are tint laws out there, and you need to be aware of them. But at the same time, there are aspects to take into account for that may make it seem more OK for you to slightly break these laws in certain areas. We do not in any way give you permission to break laws. We are just window tint enthusiasts sharing some knowledge to help spread the love for window tinting.
